Who is Doruk Yalcin?
Doruk Yalcin (Doruk Yalçın) is the founder and CEO of Avernsys, a Silicon Valley company that makes Rotasal, a platform for planning, dispatching and tracking last-mile deliveries.
Doruk studied Computer Engineering at Koç University in Istanbul from 2021 to 2025. During that time Doruk started the Koç University Undergraduate Journal of Engineering and ran it with a team of forty, spent the summer and fall of 2024 as a visiting researcher at UCLA's Ozcan Lab working on computational imaging for pathology, and worked as an engineer at Amazon in Tempe.
From late 2024 Doruk worked as an engineer at Tesla on computer vision and autonomous-driving data, and in 2025 took on a contract with SpaceX as a project engineer on Starlink, leading the assessment of bringing it to Turkey and a maritime study across the Black Sea, the Aegean and the Mediterranean.
In January 2026 Doruk founded Avernsys and built Rotasal end to end, from the routing engine to the courier app.
